Abre de Vie - Tree of Life
acrylics and tissue on canvas, 2011

This painting will be part of an exhibition at the Temple St Martial in Avignon in November during the 'Semaine de la Solidarité'. It will be on sale to raise money for an organisation called AHIMSA, whose aim it is to help through art. The money raised will help children in Nepal. 
Every artist picked one or more squares of embroidered tissue created by Afghan women idea was to create a work of art integrating that little square. Mine here you find inside the heart at the root of the tree.




Pont du Gard

Taken  October 2010. Pont du Gard is an old Roman Aquaeduct. If it looks familiar, you might have seen it on the back of the five-Euro notes!

Taken November 2007 at the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.




Dreaming on the Beach

Taken July 2008 in Nice, France during my vacations. I just love the light and the colour and transparence of  the water.

Rhône River Sunset
Taken November 2010 while I was working on a river cruise ship on the Rhône in the South of France. One evening at the end of the season we were treated to this particularly spectacular sunset.

Taken Summer 2009 at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, one of my favourite places in Paris, especially the Alpine Garden in the park.





Together on the Shore

This picture was taken Summer 2006 at Lake Balaton in Hungary. I spent two summer working there, and was regularly treated to beautiful sunsets.

I was just playing around with some colour and remembered that as a teenager I loved painting sunsets and beaches.






Angel of Light

I have always felt that angels were just spheres of light and took on the shape with the gown and wings for our benefit, so we would recognize them more easily and be less scared.
